Smartphone Photography & Storytelling

I attended Scott’s Smartphone photography course over the weekend and it was fun and excellent. There were a number of very useful techniques taught and I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful and fun morning we all had around Circular Quay and The Rocks with Scott also providing us history stories along the way which was really cool. Highly recommended!

Can’t recommend this course enough. Scott is an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly and patient instructor. Fabulous morning learning about the technical features of the phone and creative tips to take a great photo. Loved it!!

Joined Scott for an iPhone photography course. It was excellent and a great way to learn the many features of the iPhone camera in addition to photo lighting, composition and photographic editing and improvement. So much packed into 2.5hrs and Scott was an excellent tutor. Highly recommended

Scott’s smartphone course was amazing. My girlfriend and I loved the course and will definitely be recommending it to all of our Irish friends in Australia. Fabulous! Although our class was officially cancelled due to the weather, Scott kindly braved the rain and went out of his way to accommodate us, as we were only in Sydney for the weekend.

Although Scott is obviously a serious pro photographer, he was able to patiently talk us low-tech baby boomers through the basics and we picked up a heap of tricks in the session. He tailored our experience to help us improve photography needed for our business. Therefore, not only was it an entertaining morning, but a very worthwhile investment. We highly recommend this class.

I found that Scott McGale’s photography workshop was both helpful and effective. I can now take photos with better lighting and framing, and also edit photos very easily. Scott is a great teacher and I highly recommend his photography courses. I will definitely be coming back for another course!

My partner and I did the Smartphone photography course with Scott. Fantastic course and Scott is an excellent teacher. This small group course was lots of fun and we learnt so much about taking photos with our phones. We also learned to process the photos on our phones – really easy and amazing what a difference this makes. Highly recommended, we enjoyed it so much that we intend to book a private lesson with Scott.

Scott was very friendly and informative. He was willing to assist anyone who needed help. The locations were stunning and he knew exactly where to go for the best shots. He definitely knows his stuff.

I had a great morning with a few friends and Scott for a private iPhone photography course. Scott was very informative and patient. He helped us understand the power of the iPhone camera features as well as how to use various modes and how to edit and create feature pictures. Overall I was will happy with what I learned and it was a enjoyable way to spend a morning in a beautiful city with friends and learning new things!

Scott did an excellent job explaining the basics of photo composition and editing, making you an instantly better photographer without the need for expensive cameras and tripods.

I completed the Smartphone & Storytelling on Saturday. Scott is an excellent communicator and he has developed a comprehensive photography course which he delivers in simple & practical ways for all to understand. We all got to apply and experiment with each fundamental we were shown as we went. We also got to walk around the Rocks to take photos and practice what we had been taught. I saw places in the Rocks I didn’t know were there which was an added bonus. In addition, we used & experimented with an application which enhanced the photos we had just taken. It was amazing to see these photos.
I could also relay most of what I’d been taught when I got home. In my opinion, that demonstrates what a good teacher Scott is.

Yesterday I attended a smartphone photography course with Scott. I learnt so much in just one morning!
Scott certainly knows all about photography and with his easy-going manner he was able to impart this information to us so that we could all understand the techniques.
I would certainly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn how to take better photos with their smartphone.

As an absolute novice in photography the course truly opened my eyes as to what magic can be created with my iPhone . The small group included people of all different levels of understanding of what the device can do .
Scott was very thorough and patient in explaining how to improve my shots , constantly checking that everyone was not left behind .
I can thoroughly recommend the course , so much so I’ve suggested to a friend they enrol .

Fantastic smartphone photography course in a wonderful location. I did the class with my 13 year old daughter, we both found the class to be very informative and easy to understand. Scott is a calm, patient teacher who makes everyone in the class feel very comfortable and there’s also a few laughs to be had. Class size was small which was great for individual questions. I would definitely recommend this class and am looking forward to trying out another.

After attending Scott’s excellent Iphone photo session for 1 hour at Freshwater beach for my 8-year-old Son, I have to sign up for the next course. Again, I was very impressed, Scott has organized and tailored the session very well, where he initially explained the basics of photography clearly and concisely and then takes you to diverse locations around the beach to practice. He is very encouraging and works closely with every individual, to make sure they understand the main photographic principles. The class was for my son but me and my husband too became his students all along the session. I walked away feeling more confident in enabling the trigger for my kid’s passion on photography. You can tell that Scott really cares about his students and is passionate about his craft. I’ll definitely be taking Scott’s next session soon!

I enrolled my 12 year old daughter into the smartphone course with Scott from Photo Workshop Australia. It was such a fun filled time with lots of techniques taught to us. Scott has such a great knowledge and is able to transfer that information easily for younger children and adults to understand. He went above and beyond the expectations we had for our lesson. We thoroughly enjoyed the course and would highly recommend Scott and Photo Workshop Australia to any person looking for photography lessons.
