We took the half day course with Scott and it was a great day. He explained the concepts in terms that were easy to understand and worked with each student to make sure that they learned how to apply the concepts to their specific camera. Highly recommend!

This course was very good at explaining the basics of photography to beginners. It explained the three elements that control the picture and what they do, and how and why to change them to make the picture better based on the photo you are taking. I think it’s a great course for people wanting to get into photography.

My 12 year old son thoroughly enjoyed the Half Day photography course. Scott was an amazing teacher and taught my son important camera techniques. Scott was engaging and kept the course very interesting. We will definitely re-book another photography workshop with Scott.

He went very in detail with all of the different settings and types of shots which was very helpful in getting the absolute best photos you can out of your camera. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get into photography. No knowledge about the camera is needed for this course.

Today was a perfect day. I feel like I’ve gained so many tools today to begin using my Canon in Manual mode. Feeling so excited and equipped to begin experimenting with shots. Thank you Scott, really appreciate you sharing your passion.

Sensational photography course with in-depth learning experience . I finished with a greater understanding of manual, aperture and shutter priority modes which is a huge confidence booster . Scott is a terrific photographic teacher with a lot of knowledge and sets you up for greater improvement and wider skill set. I would recommend this course.

Good communication from Scott, especially when the original course was canceled due to rain. Scott was very willing to share his experience, answer our questions and help us in any way he could. It was a good balance of theory and practice on the settings, manual exposure and principles of photography. Took some great shots of iconic Sydney and really good notes.

Great 4 hour course for little or no understanding of how to use the manual option on DSLR camera, Scott is very patient and takes as through steps methodically that are easy to understand, would recommend this course as an excellent starting point for photographers that want to learn how to take photos off the auto button

Before I started this course I had no idea what any of the buttons on the camera meant but now I feel very confident when holding the camera and I can take moving shots of a car on a highway or s very detailed portrait showcasing a subject. I learnt about highlights, contrast, shutter speed, aperture and so much more

I had a great morning with Scott on the 1/2 photography workshop. He was incredibly generous with his knowledge. He’s a very patient teacher made things simple to understand. Looking forward to many hours of practice.

Very enjoyable morning spent in The Rocks learning to use my camera. Scott explains everything very well and gives you opportunities to practice what you’re learning. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to begin photography. It gives you an excellent understanding of how to setup shots and use your camera in different modes.

The half day course offers an amazing amount of information. The best thing is that the information is put into immediate practice with the guidance and assistance of an absolute expert. I have already booked into the Manly sunrise course and look forward to building on the skills that I learned at The Rocks.

As a teenager with no experience of how to use a Manuel Camera, I found the course to be straightforward and easy to learn. I got loads of great notes and photos from throughout the day.

The course was fun and interesting. I learnt a lot of new things, which helped my photography skills and knowledge significantly. Scott was very nice and helpful throughout the course and I am overall very pleased about this experience. Would recommend 👍

Before I did Scott’s workshop, I was a very keen ‘auto’ photographer who felt that all the technical functions of the camera were too hard. After a four-hour class, I now understand how my camera works and what an amazing difference to my photos!
